Not Just Another Transient Designer
If we were to dissect the sound of a single drum hit, we would discover an incredibly complex series of events,
all happening in rapid succession, that creates the unique tone of each drum.
From the attack of the stick to the resonance of the head, these short time slices add together to create what we hear as the tone.
This is why it’s such a shame that the standard is to rely on static EQ to sculpt the tone of our drums.
To put it bluntly, eq is just not a very good tool for the job, especially if drastic changes are needed.
