Reverb & delay that doesn't clutter

Well, was. By sending only prominent parts of your signal to the reverb, you get the atmosphere, but you still keep the signal clean.
By sending the subtle parts of the signal instead, you can fill the voids in your audio without drowning the transients in reverb.
And the same thing is true with a delay.
